Residents evacuated following trailer home fire near S. 27th Street in Franklin

FRANKLIN (WITI) -- Franklin Fire officials on Wednesday afternoon, November 19th were called out to the scene of a trailer home fire that has displaced residents.

It happened at a trailer home in the 6300 block of S. 27th Street shortly before 4:00 p.m.

Upon their arrival at the scene, fire officials observed flames and smoke pouring from the trailer. The occupants were able to evacuate, and were not injured.

The occupants were displaced, and they are being assisted by the American Red Cross.

Fire officials say the cause of the fire isn't suspicious in nature, and appears to have been caused by a candle in a bedroom.
