Salt trucks, plows keep roads clear for Milwaukee Co. drivers

MILWAUKEE (WITI) -- The latest snow storm is creating headaches for drivers throughout southeast Wisconsin. But as commutes go, the evening drive home for those in Milwaukee County went fairly smooth.

Salt trucks and plows stayed ahead of the persistent snow -- to keep the roads clear and wet. It was safe for drivers who expect these conditions -- even in March.

"I've been in Milwaukee all my life. I figured that you know as long as the weather changes you know hey it's fun for me. And I love snow. I love snow," said Reynaldo Burgos, Jr.

FOX6 News did not spot any accidents on Tuesday afternoon. Motorists say they've been keeping a keen eye on the road -- trying to avoid any mishaps.

"Like when people drive like, you may have noticed like when you're driving maybe someone beside you may go a little faster than what's needed stuff like that. But as long as you pay attention to those people l think everything will be fine," said Rocrick Mattox.

Another motorists told FOX6 News he appreciates how the Milwaukee area has gotten its snow this season -- in moderation.

"Little bit at a time. This is all right. When we get dumped 16 inches in one night. They can take that," said Mike Green.
