Salvation Army honors Vince Condella with "Legacy Award" for his "Coats for Kids" program
MILWAUKEE -- The Salvation Army on Monday, April 11th honored FOX6's Vince Condella, who received the "Salvation Army Volunteer Appreciation Legacy Award" for his "Coats for Kids" program.
Vince Condella's "Coats for Kids" program has helped keep folks warm in southeastern Wisconsin for more than 30 years.
The program involves gently used coats donated by you -- the generous people of southeastern Wisconsin.
Each year, all sizes of coats for children, teenagers and adults are collected.
The coats are then cleaned free of charge, and distributed to those in need by the Salvation Army.
Condella, chief meteorologist at FOX6 News, is retiring after 34 years. Condella's last day at the station will be May 25th.
