PEWAUKEE -- School will resume Monday, October 5th for students in the Pewaukee School District. This, after a threat forced the closure of all schools in the district on Friday, October 2nd -- and the cancellation and rescheduling of some homecoming activities.

A threatening letter was found at Pewaukee High School, prompting classes to be cancelled throughout the district on Friday.
Officials say the letter said: "There will be a school shooting on Friday, October 2nd."
Students were not in class on Friday, and the homecoming parade, the pep rally and Friday night's homecoming football game were cancelled.
Officers spent the day Friday conducting interviews, doing sweeps of the high school, and patrolling the area -- making sure everything is safe.

The football game was rescheduled for Saturday afternoon, and the homecoming dance would occur as scheduled on Saturday night.
Students who chose to attend the game and dance on Saturday had to go through metal detectors in order to enter.
We're told students will have to go through metal detectors on Monday morning when they arrive at school. The superintendent says the district has yet to determine if the metal detectors are needed beyond that.
This, as officials work to determine who is responsible for the threat.
