WASHINGTON COUNTY -- Police are asking for help locating a suspect involved in at least six bank robberies occurring across southeastern Wisconsin over the past three months.
Police have released security photos and say the suspect has robbed banks in Kenosha, Fond du Lac, West Bend, Richfield and Hartford.
Authorities believe the crime spree began in Kenosha on April 23rd. Officials say the robberies in West Bend, Fond du Lac and the Village of Richfield all occurred during the month of May.
On June 11th, the suspect hit a bank in Hartford.
Police have also tied the suspect to a bank robbery in Westfield, in Marinette County last Friday, June 15th.
Officials say in each bank robbery, the man dresses casually with a baseball cap on, and hands the teller a note, demanding money.
Police say what's different are the banks he hits -- a PNC branch in West Bend, Hometown Bank in Fond du Lac, M&I in Richfield and U.S. Bank in Hartford, along with two other bank branches in Kenosha and Westfield.
The suspect was last seen leaving the robbery scene in Richfield in a green, late 1990s Plymouth Voyager or Dodge Caravan. Witnesses believe the van's roof may be purple or maroon in color.
