See it: Elementary school choir sings "I'm Gonna Love You Through It" to teacher battling cancer

STATEN ISLAND, NY -- Every year, Public School 22 sings a special song. This year's special song was dedicated to a very deserving teacher, Mrs. Adriana Lopez.

According to KFOR, Mrs. Lopez is battling breast cancer.

The elementary school kids and their choir director, Gregg Breinberg, decided to dedicate a special song to show their support and love.

The choir sang Martina McBride's cancer survivor anthem, "I'm Gonna Love You Through It."

In a heartwarming YouTube video, Mrs. Lopez is brought to tears by the loving, and talented performance.

According to the choir director's Facebook page, the performance was "for a dear friend and teacher at PS22 whose bravery and dedication to her students amidst a difficult fight with breast cancer has inspired us all...We love you, Mrs. Lopez!!"
