Moore initially faced a felony charge of first degree reckless homicide, and a felony charge of first degree intentional homicide in the case.

Moore pleaded guilty to a felony charge of second degree reckless homicide in May of 2014.

On Monday, July 28th, a judge sentenced Moore to seven years in prison, and five years of extended supervision.

She receives credit for 178 days served.

The criminal complaint against Moore indicates when police were dispatched to the residence near 48th and Wright on February 4th, 2013, Anthony Martin was observed lying inside a bedroom on the floor, with a gunshot wound to his upper chest. Martin was pronounced dead at the scene.

The criminal complaint indicates that Moore told officials she and Martin were arguing that day, and the argument turned physical.

The criminal complaint says when the argument escalated, Moore opened Martin's drawers and began throwing his clothes out the window, and telling him to leave.

The criminal complaint says Moore told police Martin threw a candle at her before she grabbed a gun and pointed it at him. Then, Moore told police Martin threatened to kill her and began moving at her. That's when Moore told police she fired the gun at Martin -- saying she was trying to "scare him."

Moore told police she did not do CPR even though she was trained in it, and that she took $3,000 out of a dresser -- according to the criminal complaint.

Latonya Morris and her daughter rushed to the scene after hearing that her children's father, Anthony Martin was shot to death.

"I never believed this would happen to him. He was a good person. I don't understand this," Morris said.

"I can't explain my pain. Just to know that he is gone -- he was everything to me. He was my other half," Morris said.

Martin's daughter Armoni said she can't help but recall her last moments with him. She says he was a kind and encouraging father.

"He would always make sure me and my momma -- everybody good. Always put a smile on our face. I just talked to him yesterday and he told me 'I expect more out of you I expect you to do what I didn`t do,'" Armoni Martin said.

Morris says Martin has three children he left behind.
