Sheboygan crash closes I-43 NB at Highway 23, 3 people hurt
A crash Sunday afternoon closed all lanes of I-43 northbound at State Highway 23 in Sheboygan and left three people from Manitowoc with serious injuries.
SHEBOYGAN, Wis. - A crash Sunday afternoon, April 3 closed all lanes of I-43 northbound at State Highway 23 in Sheboygan and left three people from Manitowoc with serious injuries.
The crash happened around 3 p.m.
It involved one vehicle driven by a 24-year-old man. He suffered life-threatening injuries in the crash and was taken to the hospital by Flight for Life. His passengers, a woman, 39, and a boy, 15, were seriously hurt. They were taken to the hospital for treatment. All three had to be extricated from the vehicle.
According to the sheriff's office, the vehicle was headed south on I-43 when it suddenly crossed the median, rolled and landed on the east shoulder of I-43 NB.
