Sheboygan Falls High School student, 15, arrested for 'making inappropriate comments'
SHEBOYGAN FALLS -- A Sheboygan Falls High School student, 15, was arrested Thursday, March 1 after allegedly "making inappropriate comments." The boy will be charged with disorderly conduct.
School officials said rumors of a threat spread around school on Thursday. The rumor was investigated by school administration and police and found to not be credible. School officials said "be assured if there was any credibility to this rumor we would always side on caution and cancel school."
According to a statement from the Sheboygan Falls Police Department's director of public safety, an investigation revealed "no threat to safety existed" after the student made these comments. The statement says "the Sheboygan Falls Police and School District are committed to student safety and will actively investigate all rumors that cause concern and take appropriate action to ensure the safety of our students, faculty and residents."
School district officials said there is a safety plan in place that is "reviewed and practiced regularly." Additionally, after this incident, an all-school assembly was held Thursday to address concerns.
