Sheboygan house fire; smoke seen from 2nd story of residence

Sheboygan firefighters battled a house fire on Clara Avenue on Wednesday afternoon, Jan. 22.

What we know:

Officials say it was around 1:30 p.m. Wednesday when a 911 call came in about the fire on Clara Avenue. 

The Sheboygan Fire Department was dispatched – and arrived on the scene in a little more than four minutes, officials said. Crews could see smoke coming from the second story of the residence. 

Firefighters immediately deployed a hose line to the second story and entered the structure, where they located fire inside the walls.

The fire was quickly extinguished and brought under control shortly after their arrival.

There were no reported injuries to occupants or firefighters during the incident. 

The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
