SHEBOYGAN -- Sheboygan police say they have arrested a 14-year-old boy for his alleged role in a school threat at South High School on Thursday, Sept. 19.
Officers responded to South High School shortly after 2 p.m. to investigate a report of a student being in possession of a handgun at the school. At the time of the call, a school resource officer was inside the school and reported that he was not aware of any issues going on inside the school. Even so, the school temporarily went on lockdown.
Police later determined the call was intended to cause fear, however there was never an actual threat.
Investigators are now trying to determine who else was responsible for the call.
