Sheldon Gainer, accidentally shot by police, sentenced on robbery charge
MILWAUKEE (WITI) -- 30-year-old Sheldon Gainer -- the man accidentally shot by a Milwaukee police officer last year has been sentenced on a robbery charge.
Gainer will spend the next four years behind bars.
Gainer and another man are accused of stealing a car at gunpoint last summer.
When police spotted them, they took off running.
Police say Gainer was accidentally shot in the leg while being taken into custody near 53rd and Capitol.
