Sheriff's deputies respond to 62 incidents in eight hours Sunday
MILWAUKEE CO. (WITI) -- Milwaukee County Sheriff’s Office deputies on Sunday, December 8th were busy handling multiple crash scenes on the freeway. Road conditions remain extremely slippery and dangerous.
Just after 3:30 p.m., the Milwaukee County Sheriff's Office confirmed via Twitter that all Milwaukee Co. freeway closures have reopened -- warning that roads remain slippery and snow covered.
Milwaukee County Sheriff's deputies on Sunday responded to 37 property damage only crashes, six personal injury crashes, one fatal crash on I-43 at Highway 100, 23 disabled vehicles, two abandoned vehicles and one debris hazard.
Deputies responded to 70 incidents between 10:00 a.m. and 7:00 p.m. Sunday.
Sheriff's officials are encouraging drivers to wear seat belts, increase following distance and stay off cell phones.
