Sheriff's deputies respond to Mitchell Interchange for jackknifed semi amid rainfall
MILWAUKEE -- Milwaukee County Sheriff's officials say a semi jackknifed in the Mitchell Interchange as rain fell on Tuesday evening, November 17th.
It happened shortly before 6:00 p.m.
The semi ended up blocking all three lanes, and another car spun out trying to avoid the jackknifed semi.
The cleanup process took nearly two hours. The scene was cleared by about 7:45 p.m.
No injuries were reported.
It's unclear what caused the semi to jackknife.
This was one of several crashes deputies responded to on Tuesday. We're told between 9:00 a.m. and 8:00 p.m. Tuesday, deputies responded to 20 property damage only crashes, one crash involving injury, and 19 disabled vehicles.
