Sheriff's Office: Charges could come soon against five teens after attempted carjacking & pursuit
MILWAUKEE -- Milwaukee County Sheriff's officials say charges could be filed soon against five teenagers accused in an attempted carjacking and pursuit that ended when the suspect vehicle became wedged between a parked vehicle and an oncoming school bus last Thursday, September 24th.
Around 4:30 p.m., a deputy was flagged down by a woman after a group of teenagers pointed a gun at her and attempted to steal her vehicle near 16th and Scott.
The deputy was patrolling as part of a stolen auto interdiction unit, in cooperation with a request from Milwaukee Alderman Bob Donovan, Sheriff's officials say.
The deputy notified Milwaukee police, and deputies were joined by MPD officers as the seven-mile pursuit began.
