Sheriff's officials: 54-year-old man dies at the hospital following rollover crash on I-94

MILWAUKEE (WITI) -- Milwaukee County Sheriff's officials say a 55-year-old man was killed in a single-vehicle rollover crash that occurred Tuesday afternoon, November 25th on westbound I-94 near the ramp to US 41 northbound. The victim has been identified as Perry Wilhelm of Milwaukee.

It happened shortly before 2:00 p.m.

Sheriff's officials tell FOX6 News the vehicle rolled onto its roof and the driver was pinned inside his vehicle. He wasn't wearing a seatbelt, according to Sheriff's officials.

The Wilhelm told responding officials he was having trouble breathing.

The Jaws of Life were used to extricate the Wilhelm from his vehicle -- and he was taken to the hospital.

Wilhelm was pronounced dead at the hospital just before 3:00 p.m.

Sheriff's officials are investigating the cause of the crash.

No other injuries were reported.
