Sheriff's officials arrest 15 during Halloween patrols

MILWAUKEE -- Milwaukee County Sheriff's officials say 15 were arrested during annual Trick-or-Treat patrols on Sunday, October 28th.

Sheriff's deputies partnered with probation and parole officers and police officers to ensure registered sex offenders complied with Department of Corrections guidelines prohibiting interaction with Trick-or-Treaters.

In addition to Sunday's Trick-or-Treat patrols, Sheriff’s deputies also searched for a Top Ten list of child sex offenders on Friday and Sunday.  Deputies found and arrested four on felony warrants from the Top Ten list.

During trick-or-treat hours on Sunday, deputies conducted checks on 209 registered sex offenders.  15 sex offenders were arrested for violation of their probation and parole conditions.
