Sheriff's officials say three people attacked at courthouse

MILWAUKEE -- Milwaukee County Sheriff's officials say three people were attacked at the Milwaukee County courthouse while in line Tuesday morning, September 4th.

Officials say shortly before 9:00 a.m., security personnel at the 9th Street screening station at the County courthouse complex called dispatch about a large fight in progress in the entrance line. Another call came in requesting an ambulance for a victim of the fight.

The two attackers fled down State Street to 8th Street.

Several of the victims flagged down Milwaukee police officers who then apprehended one of the subjects between State Street and Highland Avenue.

The other subject was last seen entering MATC.

39-year-old Sydney Wilburn was arrested for assaulting three victims.

Two of the victims were conveyed to the hospital to be treated for their injuries.

Charges of Substantial Battery are being sought against Wilburn.

Detectives are still actively looking for the second suspect -- a black male in his mid to late 30s, wearing black pants and a white T-shirt.
