Shorewood police seek suspects after strong armed robbery near UWM campus

SHOREWOOD -- Shorewood police are seeking suspects after a strong armed robbery Thursday night, November 17th near the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee campus.

It happened around 10:30 p.m. near N. Maryland Avenue and E. Menlo Boulevard.

Police say a 19-year-old woman was approached by two male suspects while she was walking home. She was struck by one suspect, who attempted to steal her purse.

After struggling to steal the purse, police say the suspect struck the victim again and was able to get the victim's purse.

The suspects then fled the scene in an older model dark blue sedan, which was waiting in the area.
