Snow Emergency declared in Milwaukee County: Non-essential departments closed
MILWAUKEE COUNTY -- Milwaukee County Executive Chris Abele has declared a Snow Emergency in Milwaukee County on Monday, December 28th.
The declaration was made in consultation with the chief judge, Milwaukee County Sheriff’s Office, and director of Transportation and Public Works.
The Snow Emergency was set to begin at 2:30 p.m. -- and as a result, all non-essential departments closed for the remainder of the day -- for the safety of Milwaukee County employees and the public.
Those departments will reopen on Tuesday.
