"My heart just hurt right away," said a neighbor. "I knew something was wrong."

"That is my nephew who stays in that house," said Collins. "My roommate said he heard the shots."
Collins questioned neighbors hoping to learn more.

"He said him and the little girl was sitting on the porch out here. He says some guys came up and got to shooting," explained Collins.
Remnants of the traumatic situation are still evident Saturday morning where police say hours earlier, a confrontation escalated to gunfire.
Balencia Hawkins
"The whole block was full of police," said Balencia Hawkins, who lives next door to where the shooting took place.
While police have not publicly identified the victims, Collins has a bad feeling.
"I want to know who did it and why," said Collins. "It's sad. It's real sad."
Neighbors are just as affected.
"It really bothers me," said Balencia Hawkins. "I'm sorry I'm crying, but I'm just so tired of violence. I'm just tired."

Hawkins' sentiment was echoed by many.
"I hope and pray they get control of all this gun violence," said a neighbor.
Thankfully, the victims are expected to be okay -- but the pain from this incident will be felt in more ways than one.
"It hurts everybody. It's not just the baby -- it's everyone who has an investment in the neighborhood they live in," said Hawkins.
Milwaukee Police say they have taken one person involved in the shooting into custody, and they are currently looking for another known suspect.
