South Milwaukee house fire, 1 dead
SOUTH MILWAUKEE, Wis. - One person has died following a fire on Manistique Avenue near 17th Avenue in South Milwaukee Sunday evening, April 30. The call came in around 4:30 p.m. from a bystander, and multiple agencies responded.
First responders found smoke coming from the home.
The victim has been identified as an 87-year-old woman. There were no injuries to firefighters.

The home suffered minor damage.
The South Milwaukee Fire Department and Police Department, in conjunction with the State Fire Marshal, is conducting a thorough investigation to determine the cause of the fire.
