Southeast Wisconsin thunderstorms; thousands without power
MILWAUKEE - The National Weather Service issued a severe thunderstorm warning, as well as watches, for several southeastern Wisconsin counties on Sunday, July 14.
The warnings were is in effect for Racine, Walworth, Waukesha and Jefferson counties until 10 p.m., but were canceled early.
The watches were in effect for Kenosha and Milwaukee counties until 1 a.m. but were canceled around 11 p.m.
Power outages
As of 12 a.m., more than 11,600 We Energies customers were without power. By 5:30 a.m. Monday morning, 2,199 were still without power.
