Southeast Wisconsin winter weather advisory; mixed precipitation expected

The National Weather Service has issued a winter weather advisory for portions of southeast Wisconsin. It takes effect from Monday morning through Monday evening.

The advisory is in effect from 3 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Monday, Dec. 23, and 6 p.m. for more northern counties.

The NWS said mixed precipitation is expected, and total snow accumulation is less than one inch. A light glaze of ice is expected.

Roads will likely become slick and hazardous. Plan on slippery road conditions. The hazardous conditions could impact the morning and evening commutes.

The NWS said to slow down and use caution while traveling.
