MILWAUKEE -- Officials with General Mitchell International Airport tell FOX6 News a Southwest Boeing 737 airplane made an unscheduled landing at the airport on Monday afternoon, May 30th around 4:20 p.m.
Southwest Airlines officials say maintenance employees discovered a small, non-safety related hose had become loose and caused a faint, unfamiliar odor. The flight attendant relayed that to the captain shortly after departing Grand Rapids and the captain elected to divert so mechanics could have a look.
Southwest officials in Milwaukee worked to help any customers whose travel plans were impacted by the unforeseen delay.
No one was hurt.
The plane was headed from Grand Rapids, Michigan to Denver, Colorado.
The plane landed without incident, and taxied to the gate under its own power.
There were 133 people on board.
