WEST ALLIS -- Wisconsin State Fair officials say the final attendance for the 2012 fair was 920,962 -- about 10,000 more than last year.
A hot and humid start to the 11-day run gave way to a beautiful day Sunday, Aug. 5, when a record-breaking 127,883 people attended the Fair. This was the highest single day attendance in over a decade.
“We are very pleased with this year’s results across the board. While we did have several days of beautiful weather, attendance is also driven by the quality of the event and the memorable experiences that our visitors have each year," Rick Frenette, chief executive officer of Wisconsin State Fair Park said in a statement.
Fair officials say vendors reported great numbers as well.
