Superintendent Evers unveils 2013 budget
WEST ALLIS -- Wisconsin state Superintendent Tony Evers on Monday, November 12th proposed a $615 million increase in state aid for public schools.
Evers also wants to fix the formula used to determine how much money each district gets.
Evers unveiled his 2013 state public education budget at Irving Elementary School in West Allis.

Evers' fair funding plan calls for increasing aid to schools by 2.4% in the first year, and 5.5% in the second year.
Evers says no school would lose money under his plan.
"This plan proposes a minimum of $3,000 of general aid to every student no matter where they live in Wisconsin. This provisional will provide significant resources to dozens of school districts that receive no or little or no general aid right now," Evers said.
The budget has to be approved by the Republican-controlled Legislature and Gov. Scott Walker before it would take effect.
