MILWAUKEE (WITI) -- FOX6 News is getting word that a crash involving two vehicles that occurred on Wednesday morning, November 13th near W. Hampton and W. Fond du Lac involved a well-known radio personality, Steve "The Homer" True.

Police say 59-year-old True was headed eastbound on Hampton when he was struck by a car driven by a 44-year-old Milwaukee man that was headed eastbound on Fond du Lac.
Witnesses say the crash happened when the 44-year-old man failed to stop for a red traffic signal.
Police say True was taken to the hospital, where he is listed in critical condition.
Police say the 44-year-old driver of the vehicle that struck True's vehicle was arrested on intoxicated use of a motor vehicle, causing great bodily harm. A source familiar with the crash scene says the driver already has a past conviction involving OWI.
True is a well-known radio talk show host for ESPN 540, where he is the co-host of the "Homer and Thunder" show from 3:00 - 6:00 p.m. on weekdays.
True has also announced for Marquette men's basketball games for decades.

Police say this case is being handed over to the District Attorney's Office, and charges are possible in the coming days.
