Street value of $48,0000: A dozen pounds of high-grade marijuana seized in Racine

RACINE (WITI) -- Racine County Sheriff's officials on Wednesday, June 25th seized 12 pounds of high-grade marijuana with a street value of $48,000 -- and arrested a 31-year-old man.

Around 3:10 p.m. Wednesday, Agents of the Racine County Metro Drug Unit, working in cooperation with the United States Postal Inspectors executed a search warrant at a home in the 1200 block of Orchard Street in Racine.

Along with the marijuana, officials were able to seize an assault-style rifle, a 9mm semi-automatic handgun and ammunition.

The 31-year-old man taken into custody is being held at the Racine County Jail on a probation hold.

Charges of possession of marijuana with intent to deliver and possession of a firearm by a felon are expected to be issued soon.
