Student in custody after threat made to Kettle Moraine High School

WAUKESHA COUNTY -- Officials with the Kettle Moraine School District and Waukesha County Sheriff's Department said Thursday, May 5th an individual is in custody after a threat was made to the Kettle Moraine High School building indicating students and staff would be harmed on a specific future date.

School district officials said the threat was written on a bathroom wall.

Sheriff's officials were able to identify the individual believed responsible for the threat -- and that person was taken into custody.

The suspect is a student, who has been suspended, and will go through "established school district disciplinary procedures."

Safety sweeps were being conducted at Kettle Moraine High School Thursday -- and evening activities inside the building were cancelled for Thursday evening.
