The sergeant tells FOX6 News two people who were in the home came out voluntarily.
"One of the officers took a guy out to a police car. He was handcuffed and they put him in the cop car," David Monheim, who lives nearby said.
Officials then believed there was a third person still inside.
“We tracked a suspect, a person of interest that was involved in a freeway shooting on December 9th. For safety reasons, the Milwaukee Police Department assisted us in clearing the residence with their tactical team," Sgt. Aaron Dobson said. "There was a recklessly endangering safety shootout on the freeway. The suspects all had guns and we were concerned for our safety as well as the safety of the residents in the area. We took all necessary precautions to make sure everyone was safe and make sure this came to a safe resolution."
