Take a peek inside! Milwaukee Bucks unveil new photos of proposed arena

MILWAUKEE -- We are getting a new look at what the inside of the Milwaukee Bucks proposed downtown arena will look like -- and it looks pretty awesome!

The pictures were released during the Milwaukee Bucks "Build the Future" Community Tailgate event on Saturday, November 7th.

Milwaukee Bucks Director of Communications, Mark Rosenberg, describes the lobby as a "grand entry experience," highlighted by a spacious atrium and a wall of east-facing glass. Escalators, stairs and balconies at every level showcase a dynamic environment and visually connects all areas of the arena's interior.

Rosenberg says the bowl will showcase an intimate seating environment that places the majority of fans in the lower seating tier -- which means fans will be closer to the action.

"Open concourses, signature towers and a one-of-a-kind fan club perched above the seating accentuate the dynamic experience for fans of Bucks basketball and a wide variety of other events," Rosenberg says.

The new, modern look of the arena has people excited -- they are saying it is a new era.

Build the Future

"This building is great, the one they have now, but we're looking forward to it being much, much better," said Dan Flashberger, Bucks fan.

"It looks a lot more innovative than what we have and it's going to be a cool, cool setting," said Bill Thiel, Bucks fan.

Fans say the new look adds to the arena.

"I think it's a great thing for the team, for the city," said Sterling Cooper, Bucks fan.

A city that has growing support for a young team, is ready for what the future has in store.

"You can feel a different energy. Everybody knows we're not the same sad Bucks," said Cooper.

Saturday's event held outside the arena, transformed an area into a community celebration featuring live music and great food and beverages from Old World Third Street restaurants and bars, with the Wisconsin football game projected onto a 198-square-foot screen for all to enjoy.

The celebration was presented by Milwaukee Tool with additional support from Johnson Controls and CASE Construction Equipment.

The new arena is expected to open for the 2018 season.
