Tax credit awarded for Direct Supply expansion in Milwaukee
MILWAUKEE — A Milwaukee company that supplies and runs senior living facilities will receive up to $22.5 million in state economic development tax credits to expand its campus on the city's northwest side.
The Wisconsin Economic Development Corp. authorized the tax credits through 2023 for the project. The amount of tax credits is contingent on the company's pledge to add 800 jobs over the next seven years. Gov. Scott Walker announced the tax credits at the company, Direct Supply, on Thursday, August 25th. Walker says the jobs have an average pay of more than $30/hour.
Direct Supply's plans include a new five-story office building and a medical office and wellness clinic for employees and their families.
