MILWAUKEE (WITI) -- A Milwaukee family is accusing an MPS teacher's aide of slapping a four-year-old boy after school on Monday, March 11th.

The boy's mother says this incident was final straw that caused her to pull her four-year-old son out of preschool at Keefe Avenue Elementary School in Milwaukee.

On Monday morning, the boy's mother told FOX6 News the boy said he did not want to go to school because of a teacher's aide in his class.

"He just said his teacher kept messing with him. I think she'd been picking on him for a long time," the boy's mother said.

Sometime between school and dismissal, words were exchanged between the boy and his teacher's aide, and it allegedly escalated on the bus.

"She slapped him then he got up and ran to the back of the bus and then she grabbed him by his collar and threw him in the seat," the boy's mother said.

The boy's mother said her son was cursed at, then punched in the chest by the teacher's aide.

The boy's mother told FOX6 News her son does not have any visible injuries on his face or chest, but has been complaining about pain in those areas.

Milwaukee Public Schools released a statement saying: "We are currently investigating the allegation and the staff member has been removed from the school."

While this alleged incident is being investigated with MPS, the boy's mother has also reported the incident to Milwaukee police.
