Teen accused of stealing school bus, driving to West Bend

FOND DU LAC (AP) -- Police say a 15-year-old Campbellsport boy who loves buses is accused of stealing one.

The boy has been referred to juvenile authorities after allegedly stealing a school bus in Fond du Lac and driving to West Bend.

The West Bend Police Department arrested the boy at about 12:30 a.m. Tuesday, June 5th, after he parked the bus at a Johnson School Bus lot.

Fond du Lac Police Capt. Steve Klein said the boy ran away and found the bus with the keys left inside.

Klein says the boy said he was looking for a place to sleep for the night when he came across the bus and drove it to West Bend. The boy told police he stopped properly at all railroad crossings along the way.
