Teen assaulted, robbed by three suspects in Mount Pleasant

MOUNT PLEASANT (WITI) -- Mount Pleasant police are investigating the assault and robbery of a 16-year-old boy that happened on Monday evening, November 11th.

The teenager was attacked around 8:30 p.m. while he was walking on the sidewalk near State Highway 11 and Wood Rd. Police say the victim was punched, pushed, and kicked by three unknown black male suspects who appeared to be approximately 16 to 18 years old.

One suspect was described as wearing a red and black hoodie with a stocking hat. No other descriptions were given. The suspects took the victim’s cell phone and ran off.

The victim was taken to a hospital and treated for minor injuries.

The suspects have not yet been identified. However, investigators are following up on any possible leads.
