Threat found in Waterford school bathroom, officials speak with "person of interest"

WATERFORD -- The Racine County Sheriff's Department is speaking with a person of interest in connection with a threat that was found in a Waterford grade school bathroom.

The threat was communicated in a bathroom at Trailside Elementary School on Friday morning, October 9th. In a message to parents, school officials say they immediately notified law enforcement and evacuated the building.

The responding Racine County Sheriff Deputies took control of the threat situation and students were transported to Evergreen as a precaution.

Trailside Elementary has been deemed safe and officials have established that there is no credible threat.
