Three attempted robberies reported to Marquette Dept. of Public Safety
MILWAUKEE -- Marquette University officials are alerting students after three attempted robberies have been reported to the Department of Public Safety.
The first occurred in the 900 block of Renee Street at 5:25 p.m., while the second and third occurred in the 600 block of N. 23rd Street and the 2300 block of W. Michigan Street at 5:35 p.m. and 5:55 p.m. respectively. Each occurred on Monday, December 3rd.
Incident at 900 block of Renee Street
A Marquette student reported an a attempted robbery by two male juveniles. The suspects did not obtain any property and the victim was not physically injured.
The teens fled northbound on foot toward State Street.
The Department of Public Safety and Milwaukee Police Department were on the scene immediately and remain in the vicinity.
The victims were able to provide a description of the suspects.
The first suspect is described as a black male between the ages of 14-17. He was last seen wearing a grey zip-up hooded sweatshirt, blue jeans and a black winter hat.
The second suspect is described as a black male between the ages of 14-17. He was last seen wearing a black shirt.
Incidents at the 600 block of N. 23rd Street and 2300 block of N. Michigan Street
A Marquette student reported an a attempted robbery by two male juveniles at 5:25 p.m. in the 600 block of N. 23rd Street. The suspects did not obtain any property and the victim was not physically injured.
The teens fled northbound on foot toward Wisconsin Avenue.
After receiving the text alert from Public Safety, a third Marquette student reported an attempted robbery in the 2300 block of N. Michigan Street. The victims' description of the two suspects matched and are expected to be same.
The victim was able to provide a description of the two teens.
The first suspect is described as a black male, between the ages of 15-17. He was last seen wearing a grey zip-up hooded sweatshirt. He is approximately 5'10" tall, with a dark complexion and short black hair.
The second suspect is described as a black male between the ages of 15-17. He is approximately 5'7" tall with a slim build and dark complexion.
