Timothy Holloway charged after shots fired incident in Racine neighborhood

RACINE -- 34-year-old Timothy Holloway of Racine is now charged in connection with a shots fired/family dispute incident that happened in Racine on Monday night, May 16th.
Holloway faces two counts of first-degree recklessly endangering safety, use of a dangerous weapon.
Racine police say the incident happened shortly before 11:00 p.m. on Clairmont Street near Biscayne Avenue. When police got on the scene, the found evidence that shots had indeed been fired.
According to the criminal complaint, Holloway told police "he was previously drinking at a bar and called his relative...in regards to 'purchasing some marijuana.'" When Holloway went home, he found someone "yelling at his girlfriend." The complaint indicates that person "just randomly started punching (Holloway) in the face and that (Holloway) retreated into the home and then came back out with his loaded AR-15." Holloway told police "he fired a couple of rounds into the air" and "further admitted to firing one shot at the vehicle" that the person was driving away in.
No one was hurt by the gunfire.
A conviction on one of the charges against Holloway could bring a maximum sentence of 12-and-a-half years in prison and $25,000 in fines.
