Tip leads to arrest in Grafton robbery case

GRAFTON -- Grafton police got a tip on Saturday, February 11th that led them to the suspect wanted in the robbery of a BP gas station on Washington St.

Surveillance cameras captured pictures of the woman police were seeking.

Officials say the suspect walked into the BP around 10 a.m. on Friday, February 10th. She approached the counter, briefly displayed a firearm that she kept in her right coat pocket, and demanded money and cigarettes. She got away with an undetermined amount of cash and two cartons of cigarettes.

The tipster told police the suspect was staying at a home in the City of Milwaukee. Police checked out the home. They noticed a car outside matching the description of the vehicle used in the robbery. The woman was taken into custody.

The Milwaukee County and Ozaukee County District Attorney's offices are reviewing this case for charging. They believe the suspect may have been involved in additional robberies.
