Total loss: Fire destroys shed in Sheboygan County, cause under investigation

SHEBOYGAN COUNTY -- Firefighters on Monday night, Dec. 31 responded to the scene of a structure fire in Elkhart Lake. The call came in around 9:45 p.m.

When crews arrived on scene, they found a shed fully engulfed in flames -- with the roof collapsed. Inside the shed, there was hay and farm equipment.

Twelve fire departments responded to the scene to help transport water -- as there are no hydrants in the area.

The building was a total loss.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
