SAUKVILLE -- Twister the dog was adopted late Saturday afternoon, May 12th by a woman named Karen from Menomonee Falls.
“Twister” was at the Wisconsin Humane Society Ozaukee Campus after barely surviving a devastating tornado in Kentucky earlier this year.
Several dogs, including Twister, were transferred from Kentucky to the Wisconsin Humane Society Ozaukee Campus this week.
Twister’s front leg was seriously injured and had to be amputated immediately in Kentucky. His eye was previously missing but needed additional surgery when he arrived in Wisconsin. Now, the three-year-old dog is almost fully recovered and looking for a new home.
Despite his injuries, Twister’s prognosis is excellent.
Twister's new owner is retired and plans to spend a lot of time spoiling him! His new canine sibling, Peanut, was overjoyed to be getting a canine friend.
