Two arrested for allegedly passing counterfeit bills
SHEBOYGAN (WITI) -- Two people are in custody in Sheboygan County for allegedly passing counterfeit bills.
Officials say on Friday evening, March 22nd, officers were dispatched to the Sheboygan Memorial Mall for a report of a woman passing suspected counterfeit money at Hobby Lobby.
The female suspect apparently fled the store and left in a vehicle that was later stopped by police.
Officers arrested an 18-year-old woman from Oak Creek and a 28-year-old man from Milwaukee. The investigation later revealed that the man had other counterfeit monies, primarily $100 bills.
The two were later transported to the Sheboygan County Detention Center for two felony counts of Forgery. Police suspect additional charges will be forthcoming.
