Two Fond du Lac police squads collide, officers hurt

FOND DU LAC (WITI) -- Two Fond du Lac police squads that were operating in emergency mode collided at Western Ave. and S. Macy St. just before 9 p.m. on Friday, November 1st.

Both squads were responding to a call for emergency assistance from another officer.

Both officers who were driving the squad cars involved in the collision were transported to St. Agnes Hospital by City of Fond du Lac Fire Department ambulance with non-life threatening injuries. The officers were treated and later released from the hospital.

At the request of the Fond du Lac Police Department, the Wisconsin State Patrol was called in to investigate the crash.
