Two killed, two seriously injured in Fond du Lac County crash

TOWN OF AUBURN -- Fond du Lac County Sheriff's officials say a 73-year-old man and a 59-year-old woman from Eden were killed in a two-vehicle crash just after 5:30 p.m. Thursday, September 13th on U.S. Highway 45 in the Town of Auburn.

The crash occurred a half-mile south of Sandy Road.

Officials say a southbound vehicle driven by a 24-year-old Campbellsport man crossed the center line and collided with a northbound vehicle -- driven by the Eden man.

A 13-year-old female passenger in the vehicle with the two deceased Eden individuals was taken to Children's Hospital in Milwaukee with serious injuries.

The Campbellsport man sustained serious injuries and was transported to St Joseph’s Hospital in West Bend. 

Fond du Lac County Sheriff's officials say the investigation into this crash is ongoing. Officials say alcohol may have been a contributing factor.

Names of those involved have not yet been released -- pending family notification.
