UniverSoul Circus comes to town for the weekend

WEST ALLIS -- The UniverSoul Circus has come to town -- featuring bone-breaking contortionists, acrobatics, wild animals and humor at Wisconsin's State Fair Park.

The UniverSoul Circus show is an interactive combination of circus arts, theater and music that spans genres including Pop, Classic R&B, Latin, Hip Hop, Jazz and Gospel.

The UniverSoul Circus is rated as one of the top three circuses in America.

"You can see the greatest acts, the greatest performers you will see under any big top circus," Onion Head Clown from the Hood said.

Performances include jaw-dropping acrobatics, along with some some beautiful aerial stunts.

"We have romantic and dance choreography that we`re doing in the air," UniverSoul Circus aerialist Jean Claude said.

Of course, there's humor involved in the show!

"I`m the first thing that comes out on stage. I`m the one that projects tears of laughter, tears of joy and tears of sorrow from my audience," Onion Head said.

Audience members said they couldn't wait for the show to begin once they entered the big top.

"We came to enjoy the animals, the acts, and everything thing they have to offer as far as having fun with the kids," Kizzy Jones said.

"'I never knew a circus was a big place like this," seven-year-old Chivia Moore said.

'"I`m here to see the clowns and the elephants," says seven-year-old Nevaeh Cain said.

There is also plenty of soul featured during the UniverSoul Circus show, as hip hop takes center stage under the big top.

"You`ll find the whole audience is doing the same thing just as we do in the ring. They`re bopping, they`re hopping," Onion Head said.

UniverSoul Circus will be at State Fair Park through Sunday, October 21st.
