Vehicle fire on I-43 NB near Hampton Avenue

The right two lanes on northbound I-43 are closed at Hampton Avenue Wednesday morning, Nov. 15 due to a vehicle fire.

MILWAUKEE - A box truck fire temporarily shut down two lanes on northbound I-43 near Hampton Avenue on Wednesday morning, Nov. 15.

According to the Milwaukee County Sheriff's Office, several people in a box truck noticed smoke and got out of the truck. The truck was fully engulfed in flames.

No injuries have been reported.

The cause of the fire is unknown and remains under investigation.
