JOHNSON COUNTY, Iowa (CNN) -- An airborne pickup truck nearly took out two sheriff's deputies and a state trooper in Johnson County, Iowa.

It happened last week along Interstate 80 near Oxford -- and it was all caught on camera by an Iowa Sheriff's squad car camera.

According to the Iowa State Patrol, 49-year-old Michael John Smith, who was driving a freight-liner semi, failed to slow for the crash scene and ran into the back of a Ford F-150 pickup.

The impact pushed the pickup across lanes of traffic, where it hit the trooper's Dodge Charger squad car.
