Hunger Task Force Wanted: Peanut Butter campaign
MILWAUKEE -- You may notice unique "wanted" posters popping up around town as the Hunger Task Force looks to collect 35,000 jars of peanut butter this winter.
On Thursday morning, Jan. 25, the Hunger Task Force launched its annual "Wanted: Peanut Butter" campaign. The donations will benefit Milwaukee-area children and families in need.
Meijer in Wauwatosa got the drive started -- donating 3,500 jars of creamy goodness. Firefighters were on hand do to the heavy lifting.
"Once again, the fire department involvement in this is extremely special, simply because firehouses are everywhere. We want to open our doors, open our arms and we want to help the community and this is one way to do that," South Milwaukee Fire Chief Joseph Knitter said.
