Washington County fatal motorcycle crash; driver arrested for OWI
A Hartford family is mourning the loss of their father, who was killed that night.
WASHINGTON COUNTY, Wis. - The Washington County Sheriff’s Office says a 51-year-old motorcyclist died from injuries suffered after he struck a car in the area of Highway 167 and County Trunk K in the Town of Erin on Wednesday, June 21.

"I think we’re still processing the fact that he’s not here," said Adrianna Wells.

It's been an excruciating 24 hours for the Wells family.
"I never would have imagined that it would happen so soon," said Wells.

On Wednesday night, their father, 51-year-old Adrian Wells, was killed in a motorcycle crash in the town of Erin.
"He loved his girls. He loved his grandson," said Wells. "And he loved his bike."
His daughter tells us she and her siblings find themselves with more questions than answers surrounding their father's death.
"I’m still wrestling with the thoughts of understanding," said Wells.

Washington County investigators said the crash happened just before midnight near Highway 167 and County Trunk K. Detectives said Wells went through a stop sign and crashed into a car.
They said Wells was thrown from his bike and died at the scene.
"He was a traveling man," said Wells. "He enjoyed planning trips across the country just to ride his bike and see different places and be introduced to different things."
She said her father lived for the open road. He was active in his community and a longtime deacon of Life Church in Milwaukee. He was, above all, a family man.

"This is heartbreaking for everybody that he was connected to," said Wells.
Detectives said the driver of the passenger car was arrested for a first-time OWI.
Police are still investigating who was at fault for the crash. While the Wells family waits for answers. One thing is for sure they will make sure their father's legacy lives on.
"I would love people to remember him as him. As that outgoing family man," said Wells.
The Washington County Sheriff’s Office said this is the 9th fatal traffic investigation this year for the county.
